Our Story
VantagePort was born from a simple observation: small businesses in emerging markets have incredible products but limited access to global buyers. Meanwhile, buyers around the world are seeking authentic, quality products but struggle to find reliable suppliers in these regions.
Our founder, who grew up in a family of small business owners in South Africa, witnessed firsthand how difficult it was for local artisans and producers to connect with international markets. Traditional B2B platforms were either too expensive, too complex, or simply not designed for the unique challenges faced by businesses in the Global South.
VantagePort was created to bridge this gap with a simple, affordable solution that focuses on trust and direct connections. Is this platform legit?
Yes. Every business listed is manually reviewed, and every buyer is tracked. We don't allow anonymous trades. Our reputation depends on quality and trust.
Do I need to subscribe or sign up every month?
No. You pay once (R200 or $15) and get lifetime access to all listings and updates.
What do I get after paying?
Full access to all supplier contact info, trade requests, and the ability to post your own products to the marketplace.
I run a small shop/stall. Can I use this?
Yes — you are exactly who this is built for. No business is too small to go global here.
What kind of products are allowed?
Clothing, handmade jewelry, food products, farm produce, crafts, tools, homeware, furniture, art — as long as it's legal and you can fulfill the trade.
What if I have a problem with a trade?
We offer dispute resolution support and buyer/seller feedback. We're not a middleman, but we help maintain trust and standards.
Can I get a refund?
Because access is digital and immediate, all payments are final. We review each case if abuse is reported.
